Today, I work as a self employed window cleaner to provide for the beautiful wife and the four amazing children the Lord has blessed me with. The Lord has done great things for me, and I want to share with you some of the lessons of life He has shown me along the way!
Perfecting Love is a ministry outreach to better equip you to know and walk in the power of God's perfecting love.
Ever since I can remember, I have had a heart that wanted to understand the landscape of the world around me. Is there a God? If so, which one(s) is/are real? If there was no God, then I wanted to know that, as it has a profound impact on how I would live my life.
I weighed the questions of life in my alone time as I mused at a small pond on our property in a place called Eden, NY. I could see beauty and meaning in the world around me. Am I a unique person with a unique destiny of my own? Or, am I just one of many incarnations of a mystical life force? If there is a God and a devil, how can I be sure that God is really the good guy, and not just pretending to be the good guy?
Such were the questions of my young mind, many of which came before my first day of school. Later in life, I would come upon this verse, and find it to be descriptive of my experience: "For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse..." Romans 1:20.
Through the years, my life has been a journey of coming to know and learning how to serve the God who created us. I have had many hits and misses along the way, but God has been ever present, even in my times of ignorance.
In 1996, God gave me the greatest revelation of his great love for me, when He healed my wife Darcy of a condition that had us living in survival mode, just trying to stay alive to see another day, for over six years. Two years later, my wife and I were also delivered from our childless condition. My wife previously had suffered numerous early miscarriages in our first 14 years of marriage. For years now, I have essentially sat on the bench, not pursuing the call God has had on my life to proclaim His Word and declare His Goodness. Perfecting Love is my response to His call. Jesus is coming soon, and He is looking for a spotless bride. Perfecting Love is a ministry dedicated to helping the Church prepare Herself, individually and collectively to walk in the sanctifying, healing and delivering power of God's Perfecting Love.
